Sometimes I feel as though the world is divided into two groups: People who absolutely love to eat healthy and live a very active lifestyle . . . and me.
I know what it’s like to be extremely overweight and almost completely inactive. I’m learning what it’s like to be different than that.
I’m one of those people who has gained and lost enough pounds over the years to make up about three average-sized people. In 2009, I started a journey toward health that has more or less stuck this time. Over a bit more than a year, I lost 160 pounds and became much more active. In past months, I’ve found a few of those pounds again and am struggling a bit on the journey back down. I know it’s different this time. I know I’m different. I know how the switch to different thinking got tripped in me. It won’t be the same switch in you.
